With 30 years experience in all facets of Commercial Real Estate maintenance, operations, management and development in Landmark & world class office buildings, James possesses a diversity of practical, “hands-on” working knowledge of office buildings, since 1982.
A licensed Building Operator, certification James has retained since 1984, is combined with two Commercial Real Estate designations.
James holds both RPA and FMA designations from BOMA.
Career highlights include being awarded the BOMA, Engineer of the Year Award in 1992, as determined by a group of his industry peers.
Other BOMA awards received by Building Operations teams led by Mr. Moore include the TOBY Award; the Office Building of the Year, International Award, for the Bankers Hall project in 1992. This was the first Canadian office building in the history of BOMA Canada, to ever win this prestigious International award since the inception of BOMA in 1947.
The Bankers Hall Team was also awarded the Canadian Heritage Building of the Year title, for the historic Hollinsworth Building, and they were also the recipients of the Calgary Mayors Award for Accessibility, the most accessible commercial building in the city of Calgary.
No stranger to operational challenges, James has participated in the design, construction, start-up and commissioning of several million square foot office towers. Plus he’s taken on the operational responsibility for total building retro-fits of high-rise office towers, while still occupied by large, corporate and bank tenants.
